Wheaton Regional Park, whose 536 acres include Brookside Gardens, Wheaton Ice Rink, Wheaton Sports Pavilion, a large playground and an extensive trail system, is due for an ungrade so it can best update its master plan and make changes to some of its aging infrastructure and amenities.
Residents have about two months to fill out the online survey. Public meetings also are planned during 2021.
Topics that will be addressed in the master plan include updated infrastructure, new recreational facilities and amenities, natural resource conservation, maintenance and operations and enhanced natural and cultural interpretation.
Maryland Parks are a part of the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission.
