Winning Wheaton Art Work Will Be Featured at Annual Arts Parade

The Wheaton Arts Parade is seeking county residents for a poster design contest.

The winning entry will receive a $500 commission and have the design featured on T-shirts and other promotional materials during the Sept. 29 Wheaton Arts Parade and Festival. The winner can choice a Montgomery County school to receive $100 for art supplies.

Submissions are due April 14. They can be entered online here or emailed to info@wheatonartsparade.org with the subject line “Poster Contest.”

The original designs should celebrate Wheaton’s diverse cultures and communicate the fun-filled spirited of the parade and art festival.

The artwork must be submitted digitally in vector format and be 8.5-inches by 11-inches and saved as a 300 dpi to size JPEG, PNG or vector PDY format. All designs are limited to five colors, including black and white.

The contest is funded by founding sponsors, IHOP in Wheaton and Los Chorros restaurant.
