Today is Monday, Nov. 9, and here are five things to know in Montgomery County:

1. COVID-19 Testing: Montgomery County is holding seven free testing clinics today. The schedule of clinics may be found here.

2. Municipal Monday:  Gaithersburg City officials and staff will meet with the community virtually at 7 p.m. Representatives of key City departments will provide project updates and discuss neighborhood concerns. 3. Montgomery Village Town Hall: Councilmember Craig Rice is hosting a public safety town hall today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Montgomery County Police 6th District Commander Michael Ward, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Chief Scott Goldstein and Sheriff Darren Popkin will speak at the meeting. 4. COVID-19 Listening Tours for Women:  The Montgomery County Commission for Women, in partnership with the County Executive and members of the County Council, are hosting a series of virtual listing sessions starting tonight at 7 p.m. The purpose of each session is to provide women in the community to share how they have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Tonight’s listening session focuses on the Bethesda/Chevy Chase area; County Executive Marc Elrich and Councilmembers Andrew Friedson, Evan Glass, Will Jawando, and Hans Reimer will join the meeting.

5. Registration Opens: Winter registration for Montgomery County Recreation and Montgomery Parks classes and programs starts today. The winter issue of the guide is available online. Register using Active Montgomery.
