15 Montgomery County Companies Named Finalists for Industry Awards

The Maryland Tech Council named 15 Montgomery County companies as finalists for the 2022 Industry Awards.

The awards honor companies and individuals who have made an impact in their respective industries of life sciences, technology and government contracting, according to a Maryland Tech Council press release.

“The finalists in each category embody the ingenuity, innovation, and dedication to improving people’s lives through science and technology that we have come to expect from our Maryland life sciences, technology, and government contracting communities,” Binder Dijker Otte (BDO) Atlantic Region business development leader Tony DeFlumeri said in the press release.

The winners will be announced May 12 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.

Here are the finalists from Montgomery County.

Cartesian Therapeutics and TeraImmune Inc. of Gaithersburg are finalists for Emerging Life Sciences Company of the Year.

Curbio of Potomac and N5 Sensors, Inc. of Rockville are finalists for Emerging Technology Company of the Year.

Global Alliant, Inc. and TeamWorx Security of Columbia are finalists for Government Contracting Company of the Year (Revenue Under $50 Million).

BigBear.ai of Columbia and IQ Solutions, Inc. of Rockville are finalists for Government Contracting Company of the Year (Revenue Over $50 Million).

American Gene Technologies, REGENXBIO and Sanaria of Rockville are all finalists for Life Sciences Company of the Year.

Rodney Williams Sr. of Bethesda-based company JASINT Consulting and Technologies for Chief Executive Officer of the Year – Government Contracting.

Frank Amato of Rockville Alzheimer’s disease diagnostic company SYNAPS Dx for Chief Executive Officer of the Year – Life Sciences.

Stephen L. Hoffman of Sanaria and Kenneth T. Mills of REGENXBIO are also nominated for this award.

Randy Altschuler of Gaithersburg company Xometry for Chief Executive Officer of the Year – Technology.

Rick Rudman of Curbio and Steve Sidel of Silver Spring company Mindoula Health are also nominated for this award.
