
A 16-year-old boy was fatally struck by a driver Sunday night in Kensington, according to the Montgomery County Police Department.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.
Around 9:15 p.m. Sunday, police and fire rescue personnel got a call for a pedestrian struck in the 3500 block of University Boulevard West near Kensington Heights Park.
The driver, who was in a white Nissan Murano, stayed on the scene.
The road was shut down Sunday night on University Boulevard between Hobson and St. Paul streets, according to police.
The name of the victim will be shared after notification of next of kin.
