Job Opportunity: The Office of the County Council is seeking an entry-level Information Technology Specialist to perform IT systems work.  This person will work with other information technology specialists, technicians, department end users at all levels, vendors, and individuals outside the County government. 2. Free Vaccination Clinic for Students: Children attending Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) must have up-to-date immunizations for the school year that starts on Monday, Aug. 28.

3. Summer Concert Series at Koiner Farm: The Third-Thursday evening gatherings at Koiner Farm are free, community-led events that encourage people to come together and connect with their neighbors, their food, and their farm.  Today from 5 to 7 p.m. at 737 Easley St. Silver Spring.

4. Agricultural Fair: The fair, which started in 1945, returned for its 74th year with the theme “Saddle Up For Fun” and will run through August 19.

5. (ICYMI): Weighing in at 80 pounds, Bear made his debut at the Montgomery County Fair. The Angus calf was born early Sunday morning and within one hour, he was already walking.
