3. MCPS HBCU College Fair: Representatives from more than 50 HBCUs (historically black colleges and universities) will attend Montgomery County Public Schools’ (MCPS) 16th annual HBCU college fair on Friday, Feb. 16 at The Universities at Shady Grove. Fair starts at 6 p.m.

History Happy Hour: Sandy Spring Museum’s lecture series continues with Dr. Matthew Costello who will provide an overview of the work being done to explore the historical relationship between slavery and freedom in the nation’s capital. The Sandy Spring Museum is located at 17901 Bentley Road in Sandy Spring. Tickets cost $25 and the lecture takes place Friday, Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m. Learn more and purchase tickets here. 5. Lunar New Year: Rockville celebrates Lunar New Year with two events on Saturday, Feb. 17.
