1. Wind Advisory: NWS has issued a wind advisory beginning 3 p.m. today.

2. Pedestrian Safety Outreach: The MCDOT Pedestrian Safety Team will be at Ellsworth Place in downtown Silver Spring from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. to promote pedestrian, driving, and bike safety to the residents of Montgomery County. Visit the MCDOT table at the Level 2 mall entrance near Ben and Jerry’s and Kung Fu Tea for free giveaways and learn more about the safety programs.

3. Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute: Tickets are available for the annual Martin Luther King Jr. tribute at the Music Center at Strathmore. The event is free but tickets are required and are available online at the Music Center website here.
