1. Juneteenth Celebration in Bethesda: County Executive Marc Elrich joined county officials, community leaders and Maryland Gov. Wes Moore on Friday morning to kick off the annual Scotland Juneteenth Heritage Festival at Cabin John Regional Park in Bethesda.
2. Election Day Tomorrow: Tuesday is Primary Election Day. To help inform voters, seasoned political reporter Chris Gordon hosted an election show with MCM to offer a comprehensive look at the candidates and the issues voters care about most.
3. Mail-In Ballots: Officials tell voters who are voting by mail-in ballot to use their replacement ballots, even if they already returned the original ballot. Voters can put their mail-in ballots in any one of the county’s 58 drop boxes by 8 p.m. Tuesday. Ballots returned via the mail must be postmarked no later than 8 p.m. Tuesday. See more here
4. National Pollinator Week: Learn about pollinators and do a scavenger hunt as part of National Pollinator Week at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton. It takes place 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the pop-up cart next to the Children’s Garden. Free. See more here
