A woman died Sunday at a Gaithersburg apartment after suffering trauma to her upper body, prompting a homicide investigation, according to Montgomery County police.
MCPD and fire-rescue crews arrived to the 8500 block of Snouffer School Road in response to a report of an ongoing situation that required police attention. There, they found a 37-year-old woman suffering from traumatic injuries.
Officers reported finding the woman alive, but said she later died at the scene after lifesaving measures were attempted.
The victim’s body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine the cause of her death.
