5 Things to Know Today, June 25, in Montgomery County

Today is Friday, June 25, and here are five things to know in Montgomery County:

1. COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics: Montgomery County clinics are now vaccinating Marylanders ages 12 and older. Make an appointment here.

2. Food Assistance: Montgomery County has a food distribution event today at 18900 Kingsview Road in Germantown from 1 to 3 p.m. Check the county’s website here for more food distribution events this week.

3. Live Music at the Streetery:  Tonight the Moonshine Society is scheduled to perform in Bethesda. The Bethesda Urban Partnership hosts live music every Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m. through September 24. The concerts will take place at the corner of Cordell and Norfolk Avenues within the Bethesda Streetery. Tables and chairs are available at the Bethesda Streetery on a first come, first served basis.

4. Pride in the Plaza: In honor of Pride Month and National HIV Testing Day, the county is hosting an outdoor LGBTQ health and wellness community resource fair on Sunday, June 27 from 1 to 8 p.m. on Veterans Plaza in Silver Spring.  Music, dancing, and other interactive activities will take place and free, on-site HIV testing and prevention education will be available throughout the event. 5. Live at RedGate Concerts:  Free, outdoor concerts are taking place at the RedGate Park in Rockville this weekend. Tickets are required to attend.
