1. County Officials Raise Pride Flag: Stepping out of a brightly decorated “Radiating Love” Ride On bus, Montgomery County officials joined in the celebration of Pride Month by raising a Pride flag in Rockville.
2. New Police Station: Montgomery County has a new police station to serve Gaithersburg and Montgomery Village. On Monday, public safety and County leaders cut the ribbon in front of the station, which is on Paramount Park Drive near the intersection of I-270 and Watkins Mill Road, by the Royal Farms convenience store.
3. Original Listing of County as ‘Sanctuary Jurisdiction’ Taken Down: A Presidential Executive Order designating more than 500 cities, counties and states as “sanctuary jurisdictions,” including Montgomery County, Rockville and Takoma Park, has been removed from the Department of Homeland Security’s website. However, County Assistant Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Earl Stoddard said he would not be surprised if a revised list was issued and Montgomery County was cited on the new one.

4. Takoma Park City Council: The Takoma Park City Council will hold a meeting starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Takoma Park Community Center. The meeting can be viewed in-person, on YouTube, the City Council video webpage, Facebook, or City TV. See the meeting agenda here.
