1. The Pulse: This week, The Pulse takes viewers to the banks of the Potomac River, where a massive sewage spill has sparked growing concern among residents and environmentalists. Community members recently gathered to demand answers after a pipeline leak released millions of gallons of raw sewage into the river earlier this year, with satellite imagery revealing the damage can be viewed from space.

2. DST: Daylight saving time started at 2 a.m. Sunday. Clocks moved one hour forward.

3. Adopters for large dogs ‘urgently needed’: The county’s animal shelter took in 29 dogs between Tuesday and Friday, pushing the shelter over capacity, per a release. The shelter is closed Mondays but reopens Tuesday at noon.
