1. School Board Budget Vote: At 1:40 p.m., the Montgomery County Board of Education takes final votes on the operating budget, including potentially hundreds of job cuts recommended by the superintendent.
2. Proposed School Job Cuts: More than 400 school jobs are planned to be cut by the MCPS superintendent in order to make up for funding that schools did not get in the fiscal year 2027 budget. Among the planned job cuts are dozens of social workers.
3. Drought Watch: The Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG) declared a Drought Watch for the region. See more here

4. Pride Flag Raising: At 9 a.m., Councilmember Evan Glass, County Executive Marc Elrich and others will host the eighth annual Pride Flag raising ceremony at Veterans Memorial Plaza in Rockville, next to the Circuit Court and Leggett Executive Office Building. 5. County Executive Briefing: At 11 a.m., County Executive Marc Elrich will host his weekly virtual media briefing. Guests will be County Board of Elections President David Naimon and County Board of Elections Substitute Member Lawrence Halloran. Watch live on Facebook and YouTube.
