3. MCDOT: MCDOT Pedestrian Safety will share bike safety tips and related giveaways with bike riders as they travel to work on Bike to Work Day from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Veterans Plaza in Downtown Silver Spring is one of over 100 Bike to Work Day pit stops in DC, MD, and VA. The first 18,000 who register, and attend will receive a T-shirt.

4. Summer Reading Challenge: Residents of all ages are invited to tap into their creativity this summer through Montgomery County Public Libraries’ annual Summer Reading Challenge.
5. ICYMI: County Republicans want to restrain spending in the yearly budgets. They are mounting another ballot initiative to Stop the Spending for next year’s elections.
