1. Bike to Work Day: The annual event hosted by Commuter Connections and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association takes place today in the D.C. region. More than 100 pit stops are set up across the region with 14 pit stops in the county.

2. Friday Night Concert: The Afropop band Elikeh perform in Downtown Bethesda tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the corner of Norfolk and Del Ray Avenues. Norfolk Avenue is closed to cars from Del Ray to St. Elmo Avenue.

3. Contemporary Conversations: Urban Farming is the topic for tonight’s discussion at the Connie Morella Library and via Zoom at 5:30 p.m. Registration is requested.

4. Gaithersburg Book Festival: The annual book festival takes place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bohrer Park. 5. Public Safety Appreciation Day: The police department joins with their partner public safety agencies to host Public Safety Appreciation Day on Sunday, May 21 the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Gaithersburg.

And One More Thing: Stop by the county Department of Transportation Depot and Salt Barn in Gaithersburg Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The transportation department hosts Truck Day with an opportunity for community members to explore vehicles essential to county operations. There will be a bucket truck, tractor, semi-truck and bus available to climb and explore.
