1. Final Budget Vote: On Thursday, County Councilmembers took a final 9-2 vote to approve a $7.9 billion operating budget, including no property tax rate increase, a new progressive income tax structure, and elimination of the $692 Income Tax Offset Credit (ITOC).

2. Residents who received wrong mail-in ballots to receive replacements by May 29: Some Montgomery County voters may have received two mail-in ballots because of a printing error that affected about 500,000 voters statewide, according to the Maryland State Board of Elections.
