There is good news for all Montgomery County resident finding it hard to deal with these high temperatures. The county’s seven outdoor pools will open Saturday for the summer season.
“I am incredibly proud of our aquatics team, who work hard to provide safe, welcoming spaces where residents of all ages can stay active, connect with neighbors, and enjoy quality time with family and friends,” said Gabe Albornoz, director of Montgomery County Recreation.
Outdoor Pool Schedules
The pools will be open on weekends only from 12-6 p.m. through June 19, with the exception of Monday, May 25. Memorial Day hours are from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and then again from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Then, beginning June 20 through Aug. 14, the outdoor pools are scheduled to be open from 1-8 p.m. on weekdays and from 12-8 p.m. on weekends.
During the July 4 weekend, outdoors pools will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on July 3 and July 4.
The Upper County outdoor pool in Gaithersburg will be closed on Fridays during the summer season.
Pool Passes & Prices
Aquatic memberships and summer pool passes are available for purchase. Daily admission is $5 for county residents under age 18, $7 for adults and $6 for those 55 and older. A driver’s license or other proof of residency is required at the admission counter. General admission for non-residents is $20.
