1. Council President Briefing: Council President Kate Stewart holds a media briefing at noon to discuss Council updates and reflect on the 50th Annual Public Safety Awards hosted by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.

2. Council Committee Meetings: Two Council committees meet today at 1:30 p.m.:

3. Mobile Market Mondays: The Universities at Shady Grove hosts its Mobile Market today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visit room G318 in the Biomedical Sciences and Engineering Building. Bring grocery bags to collect free food. Volunteers welcome—sign up here. Participants can park in Lot 2 and receive parking vouchers during pickup.
4. Municipal Monday:
- Gaithersburg: Tonight’s Mayor and Council work session scheduled (7:30 p.m.) is canceled.
- Rockville: Mayor and Council meet at 6:30 p.m. | Agenda
5. Capital Budget Community Meeting: County Executive Marc Elrich hosts the third of six public meetings on the FY27 Capital Improvements Program (CIP). Tonight’s meeting takes place at the Silver Spring Civic Building (1 Veterans Place, Silver Spring) Time: 7 p.m.
The CIP funds long-term projects like school construction, recreation centers, and transportation improvements — separate from the operating budget, which covers annual expenses.
