In an area of mostly Democrats, one popular local politician who served 16 years in Congress is a Republican.
Connie Morella represented Maryland’s 8th congressional district starting in the 1980’s until 2003. MCM sat down with Morella at our Rockville studio to talk about her life, career, and success as a Republican in such a Democratic area.
Morella is still active in politics today, and her legacy is strong in Montgomery County — there is a library named after her in Bethesda.
