Montgomery County police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred May 13 at an Aldi grocery store in Silver Spring. Detectives released surveillance photos of the suspect and ask for the public’s help to identify him.
Officers from the Silver Spring police station responded to the store in the 12000 block of Cherry Hill Road. According to detectives, a man entered the store, concealed merchandise in a backpack, and left while displaying a knife.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, about 20 to 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a black T-shirt, black pants and carrying a dark-colored backpack with white markings.
