1. County Council Meets: The Montgomery County Council meets today at 9:45 a.m. Members are scheduled to take final action on the FY26 Operating Budget following last week’s unanimous straw vote to approve the $7.6 billion plan.

2. Planning Board Meets: The board meets at 9 a.m. Watch live or on-demand. View meeting agenda.

3. School Board Meets: The Montgomery County Board of Education holds a business meeting today, beginning with a closed session at 1 p.m. The public portion starts at 3:30 p.m.

Watch live on Comcast Channel 34, Verizon FIOS Channel 36, and RCN Channel 89. Meetings are rebroadcast at 1 p.m. on the Saturday and Sunday following the meeting.

4. Senior PGA Championship Tees Off: The Senior PGA Championship begins today at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda and runs through May 25. It’s the first time Maryland hosts the event and only the second time in the D.C. region. The tournament features 156 top senior golfers, including defending champion Richard Bland. Past winners include Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Tom Watson.

5. Acoustics and Ales in Silver Spring: Montgomery Parks’ Acoustics and Ales series continues tonight at Flower Avenue Urban Park in Silver Spring. Trio Caliente performs live from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
