1. No Kings Protests: MCM was at multiple “No Kings” protest locations on Saturday, including Silver Spring, Rockville Pike, Olney, and Garrett Park.
2. Bill To Continue Use of Gas-Powered Leaf Blowers: Two weeks before the Montgomery County ban on gas-powered leaf blowers goes into effect, county councilmembers proposed to amend the law to add a seasonal exemption.

3. Metro Expands Red Line, Silver Line Service: Metro announced it will expand weekend hours and increase train frequency on select lines during peak ridership times from June 22 onward.
