Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect shown in surveillance photos. The images are from an armed robbery at an Exxon station in the 11400 block of Rockville Pike on June 5.
Police said the suspect entered the store, went behind the counter, showed a gun and demanded money. When the employee did comply, he opened the register and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
During the robbery, the suspect wore a light-colored scarf covering his face, a black coat, blue jeans and tan boots. Police described the suspect as an approximately 40 year old Black male between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build.
Anyone with information is asked to call 1-866-411-8477 or submit tips online on p3tips.com via the Crime Solvers of Montgomery County website. Tips can remain anonymous. MCPD has offered a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
