4th of July Parade Roundup

This year as always, Montgomery County will host a variety of daytime parades to honor our nation’s independence. 

Kensington 4th of July Bike Parade
10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Location: St. Paul Park
Description: The Kensington community invites people of all ages to decorate their bikes, wagons or scooters and join them in cycling through the town. More information

Potomac Chase Women’s Club 4th of July Bike Parade
10:00 a.m.
Location: Aberdeen Park
Description: The Potomac Chase Women’s Club will celebrate the 4th with their annual bike parade, featuring balloon animals, treats and a patriotically decorated unicycle. More information

Montgomery Village Independence Day Parade and Festivities
9:00 a.m. Registration 10:00 a.m. start time
Location: 20020 Montgomery Village Avenue
Description: Montgomery Village’s annual Independence Day Parade welcomes all to join in marching among classic cars, mascots and floats. In addition to the procession, attendees will have the opportunity to win awards for best costume, best marching or performing group, best wheeled creation and more. Following the parade, attendees can enjoy other festivities such as carnival rides, a petting zoo, pony rides and food trucks. More information

Takoma Park Parade and Evening Street Party
10:00 a.m.
Location: Intersection of Carroll and Ethan Allen Avenues, full route online
Evening Street Party: Maple Ave between Philadelphia Ave and Ritchie Ave
Description: Attendees can enjoy marching bands, first responders, dance troops and other local groups. Later that evening, the town will host an Evening Street Party with food trucks, a Beer and Wine Garden and live music from Takoma Park Community Band and The Jogo Project. More information
