Gaithersburg Election 2025: Mayor’s Race and Council Seats Up for Grabs

In November, Gaithersburg residents will vote for mayor and two at-large City Council seats.

To help voters make their choices, the City of Gaithersburg has recorded candidate statements available to watch before casting a ballot by mail or in person.

Current Mayor Jud Ashman is running for re-election as are two current City Councilors, Lisa Henderson and Jim McNulty.

Tiffany Kelly is challenging Ashman for mayor. Chris Thoms and Omodamola Williams both seek seats on the City Council.

Early voting in the municipal elections will be held on Sunday, Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park.

Applications for mail-in-ballots have been sent with a target date of mailing the ballots on Oct. 5. Voters can also register for a mail in ballot online.
