Montgomery County cut the ribbon on a first of its kind Federal Worker Career Center Thursday in Wheaton. The office aims to support displaced government workers and contractors as they make their next career move. Career placement advisors at the center will offer personalized coaching, help with résumé placement and professional development.
WorkSource Montgomery America will work in partnership with Mobilize Montgomery, a broader initiative to support businesses and workers impacted by federal budget cuts. Displaced government workers and professionals affected by workforce reductions will be prioritized under the initiative.
The Federal Worker Career Center is located at 11510 Georgia Avenue in Wheaton. Offices are on the third floor.
