Not many teams in Montgomery County have been as dominant as Quince Orchard High School football has been lately. The defending Maryland Class 4A state champions head in to this year’s playoffs undefeated and riding a 23-game winning streak dating back to the start of the 2024 campaign.
The Cougars are searching for their fourth state title in the last five years and it started with a home regional playoff 59-0 win against Gaithersburg last Friday. This was the fifth shutout of the season Quince Orchard has recorded. The closest game of the year for the team so far was a 35-28 victory over Sherwood back in October.

The Cougars will now face rival Northwest in the second round of the postseason this Friday, Nov. 14. Quince Orchard beat Northwest in the regular season 35-16, but the playoffs present a whole different challenge for any team involved.
