2. Wheaton Water Leak Causes Evacuation of 1,000: A water leak and power outage in Wheaton on Wednesday affected 1,000 residents and 500 apartment units, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer.

3. New Council Bill Aims to Protect Immigrants in Montgomery County: The “Trust Act” would codify a 2019 Montgomery County Executive Order that was intended to ensure the constitutional rights of county residents who are immigrants are not violated.
