With District 14 Delegate Pam Queen retiring, a race for her seat is heating up.
Delegates Anne Kaiser and Bernice Mireku-North both seek reelection in the June primary as does Senator Craig Zucker.
Matt Post, who served as the Student Member of the Montgomery County Board of Education in 2017, and Alicia Contreras-Donello, who spent nearly 20 years as a U.S. Diplomat and Foreign Service Officer with the United States Agency for International Development, have both filed to run.
Post is a Sherwood High School graduate who has been a leader in the gun safety movement. He is a labor attorney.
Contreras-Donello is a first-generation Mexican American.
