Montgomery County Department of Transportation is scheduled to wind up its snowstorm clean up as of 6 p.m. Monday.
The heavy snow turned landscapes into winter wonderlands before the higher temperatures and sunshine made it disappear from trees and branches.
The storm dumped 5-6 inches over most of the county, according to NOAA. Minus the rain-snow combination that resulted in the long lasting “snowcrete,” cleanup was fairly routine.
The county reports 200 trees down with more possible tonight due to high winds. Pepco and the Department of Transportation are working to resolve downed power lines, according to local authorities.
To report a fallen tree blocking a roadway, residents can call MC311 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays.
