MCPS has released this school year’s calendar. Here are some key dates to know:
- August 25 is the first day of school for all grades
- No school on September 7 and September 21
- October 30 end of the first marking period
- Thanksgiving Week – Half days November 23, 24, and 25, no school November 26 or 27
- Winter Break starts December 23 a half day, December 24 to January 1
- January 22 end of the second marking period
- Spring break March 26 to April 2
- April 9 end of the third marking period
- Last day of school June 11 *
