The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair got an injection of high-octane excitement this week as the Renegade Monster Truck tour rolled in for two nights of roaring engines, big jumps and plenty of thrills.

Fans packed the grandstand  to watch eight monster trucks—including Stinger Unleashed, Toxic, Illuminator, Hurricane Force and Virginia Giant— across the arena. The shows featured huge jumps and plenty of horsepower.

“It’s amazing to see all these people here for this Monster Truck show,” said Natalie Dunn of Gaithersburg. “We have been coming to the fair for years and this is our first time and we definitely want to come back to this every year.”

The Toxic truck is driven by Bethesda native Cory Snyder. He had several friends in the stands rooting him on. “We follow him around to the local shows and sometimes we go out and visit him in shows across the country,” Logan Lopez said. “It’s so much fun watching one of our best friends perform.”

With the engines roaring and crowds cheering, the monster trucks delivered loud, larger-than-life entertainment.

The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair continues through Aug. 22 at the fairgrounds in Gaithersburg.
