Multiple vehicle-related incidents were reported over the weekend in Montgomery County, with some affecting traffic and injuring two people.
On Friday, a compact Hyundai SUV caught fire, tying up traffic in multiple lanes in Silver Spring near Georgia Avenue between Cameron Street and Colesville Road.
Bystander video shows Montgomery County Fire and Rescue crews can be working to contain the flames, opening the hood of the car and extinguishing the fire moments later.
No injuries were reported.
Meanwhile, a Sunday evening T-bone collision caused two injuries, according to MCFRS. It happened at around 9:15 p.m. on Columbia Pike at Stewart Lane in White Oak.One person had to be rescued from the vehicle, according to Pete Piringer, spokesmann for MCFRS.
Also on Sunday, a Jeep caught fire outside a single-family home in Gaithersburg.
MCFRS responded to the scene off of Route 355 and quickly extinguished the fire, according to Piringer.
There was no major physical damage to the home. No injuries were reported in the incident.
