1. National Voter Registration Day: It is National Voter Registration Day and the county’s Board of Elections will be at different locations to help people register to vote for the Nov. 3 election. See times and locations here
2. Hispanic Heritage Month: National Hispanic Heritage Month runs today through Oct. 15. On Saturday, there will be a Hispanic Heritage Month Unity Festival in Wheaton.

3. Council Session: The Montgomery County Council meets starting at 9 a.m. The agenda includes discussion of options for how to get rid of trash in the county. View agenda / View livestream
4. Options for Trash Disposal: During a briefing Monday, Council President Natali Fani-González previewed options for trash disposal that will be discussed Tuesday.
