The Poolesville Day parade kicked off on time on the morning of Saturday, Sept. 20. Every year the event draws 12,000-15,000 visitors to the Upcounty destination. For the last six years the Fair Access Committee has put breakfast on the menu for local politicians as well. MCM drove north to check out the festivities.
During the breakfast, owners of Riverworks and Locals restaurant, Sandy Wright and her husband David Therriault, received the 2026 Western County Champion award for their contributions to the community.
