Montgomery County police are investigating a weekend break-in involving about 30 vehicles at a luxury apartment building in downtown Silver Spring.
The county’s Emergency Communications Center got the report Sunday around 7:30 a.m., according to police. An MCPD spokesperson told MCM this morning that someone broke into 20 to 30 vehicles. No suspect information is available, and the case remains under active investigation.
The break-ins happened at The Pearl, a high-rise complex located at 180 High Park Lane in The Blairs District. The Tower Companies manages the building.
When asked about the break-ins, a representative from The Pearl told MCM he would forward our inquiry to its parent company and expects a response later Tuesday or Wednesday. This story will be updated.
MCM also asked police whether the break-ins were part of a larger investigation into vehicle break-ins in the area. A police spokesperson said no update was available.
Anyone with information on this crime can contact Montgomery County police.
