Surveillance Video Released Following Armed Robbery Near Bethesda Parking Garage

Police released surveillance video of suspects in an armed robbery near a Bethesda parking garage and ask for the public’s help identifying them.

At about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, two suspects approached a man who was walking toward the parking garage in the 4900 block of Cordell Avenue, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).

One suspect took a necklace off the victim’s neck and ran toward the garage, according to police. The suspect dropped his cell phone while running, police said, and the victim tried to pick up the suspect’s phone. The suspect used a handgun to strike the victim in the face, and he fell to the ground. Police said both suspects fled in a silver-colored vehicle.
