The 2023 Senior Safety Forum recognizing and supporting World Elder Abuse Awareness Day included participants across the county both virtually and in-person. This was the county’s 13th annual forum to raise awareness of senior safety and elder abuse.
Senior centers presented short recorded skits on scams. Maurice Valentine and others from the office of Consumer Affairs visited the senior centers prior to the safety forum. They provided information about frequent scams that target older individuals. This video includes the winning skits from the forum:
