Boyds Resident Uses 3D Printing Machines to Create Protective Equipment

Dan Evans of Boyds decided to put his 3D printing machines to good use during the current health crisis. For the past two weeks he has made several face shields, and other types of personal protective equipment and donated them to people in need throughout the country. Evans says he uses the NIH Print Exchange website for designs that are approved for clinical settings.

MyMCMedia spoke with Evans to get some more information on how the process works from start to finish.

If you are a medical professional and you need personal protective equipment click here to sign up to be matched with donors. The same goes for people who want to donate or manufacture PPE. Evans says people can register on www.getusppe.org to be aware of  the need for help.
