Brookside Gardens to Host Large Earth Day Celebration

To celebrate Earth Day, Montgomery County Commuter Services will host GreenFest at Brookside Gardens on April 23 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

The event is free and is one of the largest Earth Day festivals in the country. It “is a chance for residents, businesses, and nonprofits to share ideas, learn together, and have fun,” according to their website.

It features the following activities:

  • Face painting
  • Interactive musical petting zoo and games
  • Kid’s tree climbing
  • Plant and tree giveaways
  • Green Arts and Crafts Fair
  • Over 60 exhibitors featuring environmental nonprofits
  • Children’s yoga
  • Electric vehicle and car show
  • Food trucks (vegan options available)
