Camp Expos Coming Up in Silver Spring, Germantown

January is a great time to make plans for the summer months when school is not in session. Washington Parent is hosting two summer camp expos in the county to help families learn about the options available in the area. The first expo takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29 at the Silver Spring Civic Building.

Attendees can meet and talk to camp directors from many programs who will be at the expo representing their camp or program. Day and overnight programs focus on general activities, education, sports, arts, STEM, and special needs. There will be activities available for the kids while parents focus on the best programs for their children.

The second expo takes place in Germantown on Sunday, March 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the BlackRock Center for the Arts.

The Silver Spring Civic Center is located at 1 Veterans Plaza, Silver Spring, MD 20910. The Silver Spring metro station is a short distance from the Center. More than 25 camps will be represented at the Silver Spring Expo.

The BlackRock Center for the Arts’ address is 12901 Town Commons Dr, Germantown, MD 20874.
