Candidate slate finalized for June primary

The filing deadline to run in the June primary was Tuesday night.

During a primary, generally voters are restricted to cast their ballots for candidates who are running with the same political party they are registered – Democratic or Republican. This is the election in which voters choose who they want to run in the general election.

Voters who chose to be unaffiliated are restricted to voting only for certain seats, including the school board.

MCM will feature short video interviews of candidates prior to the election.
