Clarksburg Student Ambassadors Donating 60 Thanksgiving Meals

The Clarksburg High School Ambassadors Club is giving away 60 Thanksgiving dinners to local families in need.

Clarksburg High School social studies teacher and faculty Ambassador Club sponsor Teak Bassett told MyMCM the club has been fundraising for the past three weeks. Donations were made online, and students spread the word about the drive and how to donate through social media as well as within the school and county.

The dinners include a full turkey, creamy mashed potatoes, homestyle stuffing, homestyle gravy and cranberry sauce.

The program managed to donate 75 meals during last year’s donations, setting a record for its tradition.

The Thanksgiving meals will be donated to 30 families of Clarksburg High School and 30 families of Rocky Hill Middle School. Dinners will be picked up from Safeway in Germantown on Nov. 21.
