Congressman Adam Schiff and Dr. Fiona Hill Present at Book Festival

Two of the biggest draws at the recent Gaithersburg Book Festival were Congressman Adam Schiff and Dr. Fiona Hill who spoke together in front of a standing room only crowd.

Adam Schiff is the United States Representative for California’s 28th Congressional District. Rep. Schiff is chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and he served as the lead manager in the first impeachment trial of Donald J. Trump.  Rep. Schiff talked about his book, “Midnight in Washington: How We Almost Lost Our Democracy and Still Could” at the Festival.

Dr. Fiona Hill is a senior fellow at the Center on the U.S. and Europe at the Brookings Institution and author of “There Is Nothing for You Here: Finding Opportunity in the 21st Century.” From 2017 to 2019, she served as senior director for European and Russian affairs on the National Security Council. From 2006 to 2009, she served as national intelligence officer for Russia and Eurasia at the National Intelligence Council.

Hill and Schiff talked about their respective books with moderator and Gaithersburg mayor Jud Ashman who created and oversees the annual book festival.
