County Council Releases Thrive Montgomery 2050 Survey, Asks for Community Feedback

The County Council has uploaded a survey related to the Thrive 50 Montgomery plan, which seeks to help the County respond to “economic, social and environmental opportunities and challenges that we face today and issues that will emerge over the coming decades,” as per the initiative’s website. The survey ensures community input related to racial equity and social justice is included. The suggestions will then be incorporated into a chapter of the plan dedicated to those topics.

Feedback from the survey will be relayed to Nspiregreen and a team of consultants who will work to put public concerns into practice. There is also an invitation in the survey to sign up for in-person focus groups.

The work behind the plan is expected to start this September after the draft chapter for the racial equity and social justice portion is completed. There will be six Council meetings between Sept. 13 and Oct. 18 where the draft will be discussed.
