The average price per gallon of gas in Montgomery County is $3.956, which is slightly above the state’s average of $3.81 per gallon, according to AAA.
That makes gas here about 25 cents per gallon below the national average of $4.24 due to Maryland’s suspension of its 36-cents -per-gallon gas tax for 30 days.
One year ago, Maryland drivers were paying an average of $2.82 for regular, according to AAA.
