Dan Snyder’s Potomac Mansion Set to Go Up for Auction

The home of former Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder is set to go up for auction next month, with bidding opening Dec. 5.

Bids are expected to start at between $7.5 million and $11.5 million, with proceeds going to the American Cancer SocietyConcierge Auctions is in charge of the auction.

Located at 11900 River Road, the property was originally listed for more than $49 million in February 2023. The asking price dropped by $14 million in August after the family struggled to sell what would have been an all-time record high selling price for a Washington, D.C.-area residence.

Snyder and his family lived at the home until 2023, then donated the mansion to the American Cancer Society after it sat on the market for more than a year.
