A Montgomery County man charged with stabbing his mother, grandmother and a person who tried to intervene has been arrested in Virginia and is expected to be extradited to Montgomery County soon.
Octavio A. Estevez, 30, is charged with three counts of first-degree assault for the incident, which occurred in the 10 block of Indian Hills Court in Derwood Nov. 3.
When Montgomery County police officers arrived at the residence, they found two women and a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. All three adults were taken to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Estevez attacked his mother inside the residence, then stabbed his grandmother when she tried to intervene. A man who heard the commotion and, acting as a Good Samaritan, attempted to help was also stabbed, according to police.
Estevez then left the scene, police said. He was located in Spotsylvania, Va. on Nov. 7. Officers from the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office took him into custody.
