
Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) detectives released surveillance footage of a stabbing in Wheaton and seek public help to identify the suspect.
The stabbing occurred on Saturday, Aug. 2, near Fern Street and University Boulevard West. Detectives discovered a group leaving a local restaurant had an altercation. During the argument the suspect stabbed the victim.
According to the MCPD, the victim was transported to the hospital in “critical but stable condition.”
Officers described the accused as an approximately 28-year-old Hispanic male with black hair, a goatee, an ear piercing and tattoos on both arms. He was last seen wearing a Nicaragua baseball jersey with a blue number 16 on the back, a blue baseball cap with an “N” on it, white Jordan sneakers and black shorts.

Tips may remain anonymous. Anyone providing information leading to an arrest may be eligible for an award ranging from $250 to $10,000.
